| Description | Putatiave homolog of Saccharomyces cerevisiae PAF1, a RNA polymerase II-associated Paf1p complex subunit. The Saccharomyces cerevisiae Paf1 complex consists of five proteins (Paf1, Rtf1, Cdc73, Leo1, Ctr9) and is associated with the elongating RNA polymerase II complex. Yeast Paf1 is required for methylation of lysine 9 and 79 of histone H3 and for silencing of expression of a telomere-associated gene. |
